The South Carolina Witness Project raises breast and cervical cancer awareness and helps women statewide to access preventive breast and cervical cancer screenings.

What is the Witness Project?

The Witness Project® is a community and faith-based breast and cervical cancer education program. The purpose of the Witness Project® is to educate and raise awareness about breast and cervical cancer and to increase participation in breast and cervical cancer screenings among women.

The South Carolina Witness Project was started in Greenville, SC, in January 2008 with funding from the South Carolina Cancer Disparities Community Network at the University of South Carolina. The training was led by the original Witnesses from Arkansas.
